Monday, April 29th at 3:30 p.m. in the Blue Angel Atrium
The West Florida Home Education Music Association (WFHEMA) was established over ten years ago by local leader Glenda Jones. Over the years, most of its graduates have gone to college, many at prestigious music colleges, such as Juilliard, and some even perform with major symphony orchestras. The Homeschool Band, as it is affectionately known, has some of the most outstanding young men and women in Pensacola.
Under the direction of Andrea Duncan and Wess Hillman, two groups will be performing at the National Naval Aviation Museum featuring the Beginning and Intermediate classes. The groups primarily focus on performing classical and orchestral music, a jazz or fiddle tune can often be heard. Bringing over 70 students from the Pensacola area, the WFHEMA focuses on encouraging a love of music, the arts, and learning to perform in a group situation. WFHEMA provides a wonderful artistic outlet for students and helps promote positive social relationships. Performing Monday, April 29th at 3:30 p.m., the Blue Angel Atrium at the National Naval Aviation Museum provides a wonderful backdrop of the great music of the West Florida Home Education Music Association.
