Lunar Excursion Module Now on Display

A full-scale replica of the Apollo Lunar Excursion Module is now on display in Hangar Bay One at the National Naval Aviation Museum. Come see this exciting new exhibit, unveiled during our "Salute to the Pioneers of Space" honoring the 40th anniversary of Apollo XVII.
Neil Armstrong Passes at 82

The Naval Aviation Museum Foundation is deeply saddened at the passing of our friend Neil Armstrong—Naval Aviator, test pilot and first man to walk on the moon—passed away Saturday, August 25, at age 82.
New Exhibit - Virtual Flight Deck

The National Naval Aviation Museum will open a new Virtual Carrier Flight Deck, Monday July 9th. Once “on board” this immersive exhibit, visitors are treated to the sights, sounds and sensations of standing on the deck of an aircraft carrier.
Commissioning of Ambition

On May 11, 2012, the National Flight Academy's Ambition held its commissioning ceremony, with the help of special guests and international space dignitaries. In naval tradition, the "commissioning" is the final milestone in placing a ship into active service.
