In order to align NAS Pensacola with security directives issued by the Secretary of the Navy, the air station commanding officer has directed that beginning February 1, 2016, all visitors to the National Naval Aviation Museum, Fort Barrancas and Pensacola Lighthouse who do not possess a Department of Defense identification card or are unescorted by the holder of a Department of Defense identification card, will be required to enter the installation via the West Gate located off Blue Angel Parkway. Watch a classic film on the IMAX® Giant Screen while enjoying a light breakfast and coffee served in a take-home souvenir travel mug.

Movies start at 9 a.m. and doors open at 8:00 a.m. for the first 500 visitors. Admission is $8.00 per visitor.

 

To Fly (showing February 4)

A brief summary of the history of flight, from 19th century balloons through 21st century space probes. The evolution of flying technology is portrayed in parallel with the story of the westward exploration of America and the rural-to-cosmopolitan transformation of American society.
