CH-37 Mojave

Designed to fulfill a 1950 Marine Corps requirement for a series of large transport helicopters, for a decade the CH-37 Mojave held the distinction of being the largest helicopter flying outside the Soviet Union. Capable of carrying 26 fully equipped combat troops or a varying array of cargo, Mojaves set two world records in 1956 for payload at altitude and a three kilometer world speed record of 162.7 mph.
