Significant Achievements:

Established individual rescue record of 50 souls at Putnam, CT, in August 1955 by helicopter. Flew 35 different types of aircrafts (including 5 with modifications). Note:  the record 50 was derived by rescues of 8 in the evening followed by 42 the next morning.

Was youngest Chief Pharmacist Mate in the regular Navy in 1943 at the age of 22.

Honor Student at Hospital Corps School.

Helped to capture kidnapper of Facundito Bacardi in Sierre Madres 2-19-54.
