MR. HERBERT RICHARDSON , CIVILIAN
1921 - 2007


Herbert B. Richardson, Jr. was born near Louisville, Kentucky in 1921. Mr. Richardson attended Purdue University until the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He joined the Navy and was a SBD and SB2C pilot in the South Pacific and Asiatic theaters. Herbert served on the USS Prince William CVE-31 and a land base on the island of Guam. After the war he settled with his family in Dayton, Ohio, the birthplace of powered flight.
Mr. Richardson was active in private aviation and a Corporation after a 35 year career. Herbert B. Richardson, Jr. loved our great nation and was a patriot.
