| Served as a fighter pilot in VF82 aboard the USS Bennington CV-20, during operations against Japanese forces 1944-45. He was awarded the DFC and five Air Medals for valor in combat. He was the loving husband of Blanche and father of Ron, born 1944, Stan, born 1949, and Elizabeth born 1954. |
