CAPT WILLIAM C. DOAK, USN
1925 - 1999

Captain William C. Doak was born on 1 September 1925 in Boston, Massachusetts. He entered the Naval Aviation Cadet Program after graduation from high school. Concluded pilot training he commissioned an Ensign and designated a Naval Aviator in 1945. He completed operational training and carrier qualification and assigned to Fighting Squadron 58. Next sent to Fighting 1L then to Aircraft Development Squadron Three. Followed duty at Pensacola, Florida as an instructor.
