| CAPT Shewchuk was commissioned in 1954 through the University of Illinois NROTC program. His service included a Vietnam combat cruise with VA-55 and command of VA-83, the Iowa State NROTC Unit, and NAR Norfolk. Personal decorations include the Legion of Merit and Distinguished Flying Cross. |
