Snowbirds visiting the Museum on Feb. 9* will receive a discount card good for discounts at the Museum's IMAX Theater, Cubi Bar Cafe as well as Foundation annual membership.    

Discovery Saturday: "Anatomy of a Strike"

A presentation by retired Navy Captain John Paganelli describing how air strikes were planned and executed during the Vietnam era when he was assigned to Attack Squadron 86 flying A4E aircraft aboard the USS Independence.

"Stormchasers" is a tale of scientific discovery and natural wonder that will take audiences on a journey around the planet to experience our most extreme storms and to witness the dramatic--and often perilous--efforts of scientists in the pursuit of understanding weather. Showing at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

"Hurricane on the Bayou" carries audiences behind today’s news headlines on a journey deep into the soul-stirring heart of Louisiana — before, during and after the unprecedented devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Showing at noon.

Guests have the opportunity to watch both “Stormchasers” and “Hurricane on the Bayou” IMAX films back-to-back for the special price of $11.50 (general admission). Offer available only on Saturdays and Sundays.

Blue Angel Practices
The world-famous Blue Angels Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron hold weekly practices over NAS Pensacola behind the Museum during their season!  Click here to view the 2010 practice schedule, as well as selected dates for autograph sessions inside the Museum following most Wednesday practices.

Naval Aviation Museum Foundation Symposium 2010

The National Naval Aviation Museum opens its doors for another exciting glimpse into the history and future of Naval Aviation at the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation’s 24th Annual Symposium, May 12-14. The event will feature performances by the NAS New Orleans Navy Band, followed by panel sessions highlighting: the Birth of Naval Aviation;  Naval Aviation's Dynamic Expansion for the Great War; a distinguished panel of senior Naval Aviators who will discuss Naval Aviation’s future challenges and current programs.
