The mission of the Flight to Excellence (FTE) program is to optimize the use of the National Naval Aviation Museum as an educational tool for teachers and visiting students. It achieves this by incorporating educational IMAX® movies and accompanying Teacher's Guides with Museum information into a field trip. Through this program, approximately 300,700 school children have been introduced to the scientific principles involved in flight.
